The Boxed Sets

Each set includes the hard-bound book and a numbered etching by Melinda Miles.
The linen-covered drop-spine boxes are hand crafted at Gli Artegiani, a bindery near
Venice, to house and protect the hard-bound book and original etching in classic style.




Option: The Drawings

With this option, your boxed set and etching will be accompanied by original drawings.

Melinda produced thousands of drawings, ranging from live-model sketches to fully
developed artworks. You can choose from sketchbook pages matted simply, as in the
image below. Or you can select from a collection of highly finished drawings framed
with glass, also shown below.

Option: The Lithographs

Melinda Miles produced eleven limited edition lithographs in her career. With this option, your boxed
set will come with an additional folio collection of these fine-art prints.






The print folios were designed by our Italian bindery to match the linen-covered boxed sets. They are sized to
hold any number of Melinda’s lithographs. You can customize your folio collection with any of the eleven images.

Option: The Paintings

These paintings exemplify the themes Melinda developed for her final exhibit Trains of Thought.  They are
three of her last paintings and are available in this special offering to Melinda’s collectors.




The 2009 painting Under the Bridge, top left, recalls Melinda’s earlier 1991 lithograph Two Twenty Eight.

The 2008 painting Curve in the Tracks, top right, is likewise an image Melinda revisited still earlier, in the
etching of 1986, which we include inside each boxed set.

The 2008 painting Exit, pictured above, is the image we have selected for the book’s cover.

We selected the artwork described above from the Melinda Miles estate to supplement
the Special Edition boxed sets. You can choose from any of the drawings, lithographs and paintings.

The number of boxed sets will be limited by your response to this offer. The offer closes on
January 15th, 2013; after that date, we begin production.

(NOTE 12/21/13) The limited edition was produced in November of 2013, in a quantity of thirty-five.
